Takedown Policy

How to request removal of content that you believe violates the law or our community standards.

When you can request a takedown

• The content names a specific individual in a way that could identify them
• The content makes specific factual claims that you can show to be false
• The content infringes copyright or trademark you own
• The content contains threats, harassment, or hate speech
• The content discloses confidential or commercially sensitive information

How to submit a request

Email takedown@shiptionary.com with:

• The exact URL of the content
• The specific text or claim you want removed
• The legal basis or community-standards basis for your request
• Your full name, role, and a verifiable contact email
• Any supporting documents (e.g. legal notice, ownership proof)

What happens next

1. We acknowledge your request within 2 business days.
2. We may temporarily hide the content while we investigate.
3. We notify the original reviewer and offer them an opportunity to respond.
4. We make a decision and email you the outcome within 10 business days.

Counter-notice

If you are the original reviewer and your content has been taken down, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email explaining why the takedown was incorrect. We review counter-notices within 5 business days.
